Design Toscano Hummingbird Enameled Egg
Over-the-top ornamentation characterizes this jeweler-style, museum-quality enameled egg first made famous by the House of Romanov's imperial jeweler in the 19th century. The Hummingbird tips its filigreed lid to reveal a spot for tiny treasures. Cast in pewter using the ancient lost wax method and before the brilliant blue and pink enamel, faux jewels and tiny embellishments are added.
